To all for a wonderful 2011. I for one am feeling hopeful today and glad to bid farewell to the old year!
Last year was a difficult one for my family, we began the year on a high note with a new-to-us van which was soon after totaled in an accident in January – injuring and frightening my entire family, the effects of which Rob and I are still dealing with medically. Finances were, as for many families, very tight last year. My grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 94, I am glad I was able to say my goodbyes to her and grateful for her place in my kids’ lives. The year improved as it went on, with visits from our Scottish relations – which included a very scary health crisis for a beloved aunt and a shortened trip for her, but a chance to spend time with her son.
We got in several camping trips, enjoyed family time together, and some work changes close to the end of the year will hopefully allow for even more in the new year. Our family welcomed two new fur babies to our household, Cocoa in Sept and Ringo, who belonged to a friend of my mom’s who passed away suddenly, in December. Four kitties and four people and I think our house is FULL!
So today, I pause to reflect, close one chapter, and open my arms to 2011!
